This 1 day event will be run by Laurence Clark and Amy Green. Amy has worked for several years in wildlife conservation with NWWT (N. Wales Wildlife Trust) and will be giving a talk on some of the amazing wildlife we have here in north Wales.
Visit their website for more details and how to book.
Venue: Craig y Don Community Centre.
Refreshments from 7.20pm.
Talk starts at 7.40pm.
The talk will look at Wildflower Meadows - their decline since the 1930s, why they are so special, and the wildlife and pollinators they help support. Trevor will focus on the wildflower meadow he's been creating in the Conwy valley for the last three years, showing how it's changing each year, and how it performs through the year in terms of providing a source of nectar and pollen. He'll also look at some new research showing that we can't assume we know where our bees are foraging, which has big implications for what we should be planting and growing.
Trevor works for Plantlife, the wild plant conservation charity, as their Botanical Specialist.
