Location: Greenacres Nature Reserve, Morfa Bychan, Porthmadog, Gwynedd. Nearest postcode LL49 9YH, central grid reference SH534372.
Habitats: dune grassland, wet willow woodland, seasonal ponds, sand dunes, scrub (reserve is 13.5 ha, sand dunes extra!).
Nature conservation interest: The reserve consists of dune communities with mire, wet woodland, and scrub. The majority of the sand dune habitat has become very stabilised and there are successionally old wet dune slacks which support sharp rush (Juncus acutus) and variegated horsetail (Equisetum variegatum), although the latter hasn’t been recorded here for many years. Adders are known to occur on the site.

Meeting point: pedestrian gate to public footpath off the main road at SH535374 (no parking immediately nearby unfortunately).
Toilets either in reception at the caravan park, or public toilets just before the entrance to Black Rock sands.
You can book here to let us know you're coming, or just turn up on the day.
