Meeting place: Canolfan Gymdeithasol Llanengan Community Centre (opposite Church), Llanengan, Pwllheli, LL53 7LL.
The workshop will involve an indoor presentation on oil beetle ecology and identification (lasting around 1 hour), followed by a walk along the Wales Coast Path in search of oil beetles. Suitable footwear and clothing is needed as we will be outdoors. Attendees may also wish to bring lunch.

A talk on 38,000 roosting bats in Germany.
Two different surveys you might like to have a go at:
FIT Count: A simple systematic survey to engage a wider range of volunteers, collecting data on abundance and flower visitation of pollinators to target flower species from a specified list.
1km square surveys: A systematic survey of pollinators and floral resources with a core set of 75 monitoring sites (randomly allocated 1km squares), stratified on cropped and non-cropped land across England, Wales and Scotland.

Wendy Mcarthy (Caernarfonshire BSBI VC plant recorder) has received her tickets for a recording trip to Ynys Enlli. Wendy successfully applied for a Cofnod Grant for Biological Recording for these tickets.

Today Henry Cook, Anglesey Fens Living Landscape Officer, was presented with two trail cameras and identification guides for use on this exciting project.
It's great to see this Cofnod Grant for Biological Recorders' being put to good use, and it'll be interesting to see what species are discovered during the project.
