Penisarwaun Recorders’ Day
Cofnod will facilitate a day to record wildlife at this private wetland meadow site. This will build on existing plant and moth lists from the site. The owners are members of the Habitats & Meadows Group. Habitat Wet and semi-wet meadows and wet woodland. Adjacent to a Local Wildlife Site. Walking conditions Walking boots advisable - flat land but rough pasture. Wet areas avoidable but accessible to those with wellies/waders who wish. Current management Fields are grazed by a young farmer’s Welsh Blacks and a small number of sheep. Rushes are cut back in the drier fields in autumn but left standing in the wettest field. Facilities Panad, water and scones available. Bring a packed lunch. Toilets available on site. Very limited parking on site, but more available in the village for those who wish to walk to the venue.
