Bwletin Llen Natur 104

03 October 2016

Here's Bwletin 104. First to plug a forthcoming seasonal Plantlife event on the 9th October in Uwchmynydd, Aberdaron under the guidance of mycologist Debbie Evans (http://llennatur.us3.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=74c23e0addbdfe104cd5c8f27&id=bbb8fba13e&e=5af4a7ba23) searching for the jewel-like waxcaps. Meet at NT farm Cwrt (NT car park) near Aberdaron 10.30 - 4.30. A fun day for all the family.

You may have noticed an increasing number of graphs in the last few issues of the bulletin. There are a number of reasons for this: for example to meet the needs of higher education with our new partners Cymdeithas Gwaith Maes, and to use the massive databases that we have created over the past 10 years in Llên Natur to follow the worrying changes that are taking place in our environment (the study of which we should regard as an opportunity as well as a disturbing burden). The Llên Natur website has now reached maturity.

There is another less welcome reason why the Llên Natur website may have reached maturity - or rather its allotted lifespan. The current site has been misbehaving and limping along for a while (two features of maturing years as many of us discover!) and a contract is in hand to renew the website with smoother, cleverer and more user friendly features. We expect this will be up and running early in the new year. In the meantime we ask that you keep faith with us. Keep sending us your observations, either to me personally (DB), or to the contact email address noted in the bulletin, or directly to the current website - yes it still works!
