Cofnod helps make the Bird Race a success
On 18th May the North Wales Wildlife Trust organised a Bird Race, to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The idea of the day was to record as many bird species in 24 hours on Trust reserves. Eleven teams took part, some starting at 4am, spread across reserves from Cemlyn Bay on Anglesey to Coed y Felin near Mold. Bird records were entered using Cofnod’s Online Recording System (ORS) and live results were shared via our Bird Race page. A great day was had by all, with over 130 bird species recorded over 26 reserves. We found this a new and exciting way to put the ORS through its paces. Thank you everyone who entered data and happy 50th birthday to the Trust.
