Help pick UK’s wildlife on Banknotes

03 June 2026

The Bank of England are designing the next series of banknotes, which will include updated security features to ensure the public can continue to use cash with confidence. They are considering which native UK animals to use as the central image on each of the four denominations (£5, £10, £20 and £50). A panel of wildlife experts from across the UK has helped them develop a shortlist and they would like to hear which animals you would prefer to see on our banknotes.
